Amy engages with community groups and invites collaboration in her creative work, drawing on experiences from her 15-year music teaching career. She is a passionate and vocal advocate for the change-making power of the arts, and has a particular interest in creating opportunities for young people to access arts projects and events. She was the driving force and Creative Director behind Newham Music’s ‘Full Circle’ Community Opera, which involved over a thousand young people from across the borough in devising, writing and performing the work over a three year period. The opera received the Outstanding Musical Initiative Award at the 2019 Music Teacher Awards for Excellence, and was performed by 750 young people at the Music for Youth Proms in November 2019.



Amy lives in Hackney, East London with her husband and three children who are (sometimes) willing participants and assistants with her shoots and ideas.  When not out and about with her camera, you are most likely to find her cycling around Hackney's green spaces with her children in tow, or most likely, at the lido.
